Where does M-22 head?
The M-22 scenic highway goes through four different counties in northwest Michigan in the "tiny finger" in the lower mitt. There are a dozen towns to visit along the way that include Manistee, Arcadia, Frankfort, Empire, Glen Arbor, Leland, Northport, Omena, Suttons Bay, and Traverse City. They are all on Lake Michigan and are endowed with ports, beaches, and sandy dunes.
